Origin Ver. 2017 pro - Service Release b9.4.0.220
Operating System: Win 8.1

Hi to everyody, from 2 days I have a "strange thing" in Origin. I don't know for which reason, if I put a decimal value (i.e. 1.064) it will switch automatically without dot (1064). I already took a look to cell setting but no way to solve it. Please help me because it is driving me crazy.

Hi,

How do you put the decimal value? Did you copy and paste the value to workbook or type the value in cell?

Is it possible that you mistakenly clear the decimal symbol in Windows Settings?

Hi,

I type the value in the cell.

If I write, for instance 0.345, it goes to 345. If I put, instead 0.346 or different values than 5 as last decimal number, then the values not change into the cells.

Please, can you let me know what I have to take into accont in the windows settings?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Please set "Separators" as 1,000.0 in Tools:Options dialog and see whether it helps
