Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): Origin 7.5 SR5 Operating System: Win 2000
Hi,
Not strictly an Origin C question but I'd appreciate some help. I want to do my own (C++?) app to compare code files (eg listing, matching & comparing functions). I can work on plain text files but I would like to consider colour coding. Where should I think of going? A programmable text editor, VB app?
Thanks for any suggestions,
Cheers,
Pete

Hi Pete,
No suggestions, but if you get the app working please post it on the File Exchange. I've also been looking for a good way to compare code files, especially versions of the same file.

Thanks Easwar,
I'll look at these. One thing I may (need / want to) do is write an app to sort - blocks of code - sections (.ogs), functions (.c), definitions (.cnf) etc into the same order - based on the primary file. This does seem to be something analagous to the add-ins/converters with compare-it...so looks promising.
Cheers,
Pete
