Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 7.5 SR5
Operating System: XP

Hi,
I have a graph on a dialog window (built with DialogBuilder). The dialog window is allowed to change its size and the graph changes its size accordingly. When the dialog is closed and then restarted again it remembers its last size, but the graph is not resized automatically. Instead it appears with the size it had, when it was created with DialogName!GraphPlaceholderName.attach()
How can the graph automatically be resized in such cases?

Thanks for help
bye

Stefan

oops, nobody has an idea?

I'll try again, asking on general Dialog Builder features. As far as I understand, Dialog Builder creates an Origin Graph-object. It is not clear to me, which of the options and commands for Origin-graphs are applicable also to graph-windows created with Dialog Builder. By trial and error I found out, that not all command syntaxes will work and not all commands are possible, e.g. win -o windowName print; does not work. It would be fine to have all options listed in the handbook or elsewhere. At least in the German Handbook the information seems not to be sufficient. This is also true for some options, like e.g. sizeable windows, created with Dialog Builder.
It is possible to create a sizeable window ressource with Microsoft Visual C. It is also possible to drag and resize these windows in Origin, but the content of such a window, e.g. a graph, does not follow each change in size accordingly. That is the problem I addressed im the above post.

In my point of view such problems have a lot to do with some shortcommings in the handbooks, which may at least prevent people from using Dialog Builder as a versatile programming tool (which it could indeed be).

any comments welcome
Bye

Stefan
