How is the log scale created within this 3d contour graph.
I am trying to do that with my matrix via "format/axes/..." but Origin 7.5 allows not to do it. Are there other ways? Any suggestions?

Hi,

I presume you are referring to the following graph gallery image on our website:

The log scale here refers to the scale of the color map, which is logarithmic and not linear.

To do this:
1> first create your contour plot
2> double-click on the plot to bring up Plot Details
3> on the right panel select the "Color Map / Contours" tab
4> Click on the column header named "Level" which will pop up a dialog on which there is a check box to set the levels to log scale

Thank you very much! I just had to skip some negative values in my matrix and now it works.
