Origin Ver. and Service Release: b9.4.0.220
Operating System: Win 7

Dear Origin experts,

For evaluating some surface data I wantet to generate a so called material-fraction-curve. The difficultie for me is to generate a secant-graph along the graph, which should have an specific range (in x) and should be placed on the point of lowest gain of the graph.
Is there any solution for simular problems, without using an extern console?
Thanks a lot

Hi Ksukon,

Would you please show us an example of the graph you want to plot? How the "secant-graph" looks like and what is the algorithm?

Thanks,
Shirley

The secant-line should connect two points on the graph, they distance in X should be correspond 40% of the total scale in X. This secant-line should fitted to the graphe, where the gain has it´s minimum.

Hi Ksukon,

Thanks for the images.

So, the "minimum" you mentioned is the minimum of the absolute value of the slope on two X values with 40% distance, right?

Then, what is the shaded area in fig.2? Is it also the judging condition for the result you want?

Thanks,
Shirley

Hi Shirley_GZ,

Yes correct. No these triangles are not restrictive, they are just for evaluation...
