Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginPro 9.1.0 (64-bit) Operating System: Windows 7
Hello,
I have a crash problem which I have been investigating for a while in order to be able to describe it precisely :
Origin shuts down quite randomly, most of the time with no error message at all, even if I am not actually working ont it (e.g like browsing the internet) I have found that this doesn't happen if I open directly a previous project by clicking it on windows while Origin wasn't already running. (even if this project contains tens or Mo of datas) On the other hand, if I open Origin, then open a project from Origin, it will unvariably crash after, usually, several minutes. In fact, if I open Origin and use either the "open" or the "save as" function, Origin crashes after several minutes.
I hope this description is accurate enough...
Thanks a lot,
E

Hi,
I am afraid that we can not reproduce your question in our machine.
Origin 9.1 is an old version. If these issues happen in recent days, I suggest you can try to reinstall your Origin.
Thanks Jacqueline OriginLab |

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I wish I could tell you how to reproduce the bug ^^''.
Unfortunately, I tried to reinstall already. This problem has been happening recently : actually, I installed Origin for the first time some weeks ago and the problem happened on my first attempts to use the software... funny thing is, it doesn't happen on the computers of my colleagues, who have the exact same version.
Thanks,
Edouard

Hi,
A though is that it may involve issues related to a printer installed. In older Origin, we connectioned to the printer if some was availabel upon start up.
Can you try to temporarily disconnect your printer and give it a try?
