Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): b9.4.2.380
Operating System:Windows 10

Hello Community,

I´m new to Origin and failed perfectly at my first task to draw a std. Boxplot from my data. I think it has to do something how i arranged my data but i have no idea how to change this. I also watched several videos about creating boxplot but unfortunatley they have slightly different sort how they arranged the data.

So Here to my task. I made some tensile test´s and i attached my pricture to the post. (Sorry it´s in german but i think you will know what the english form is)

At the longname sections i have parameter like MOE, elongation, area, etc. . On the x column i have my different specimen pd1 ref, kp ref etc. . Now when i want that he should draw me an Boxplot form the first specimen and only the MOE Column it doesn´t draw me three plots only two with a weird range parameter. So maybe someone knows how to fix this.

So thanks in advanced !!!!

Hi,
Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce your problem in Origin2018.
Would you like to try latest versionhttps://www.originlab.com/demodownload.aspx?

Maybe it's a perfect boxplot with an incorrect Yscale. Try setting the Yscale from -1 to +1 to see if it looks better.
A BOX.OTP template saved with a Manual Y scale could produce your result. If there is a BOX.OTP in your User File Folder, delete it and try plotting again.

There is no hope!
(But I may be wrong.)

Hi Woody,

I got what you meant. For box chart in O2017 you can put data of your two groups into two columns:
