Sorry for this dummy question. But I am really a newbie of Origin.
I have a dataset and want to use NLSF to fit the data. I already know the equation we should apply. But I don't know how to define the function in Origin7 which I am using now even after I read through the help files. Hope someone can help me with this function below.
The function is:
y=abs(a*tan(b*x)) [abs represents the absolute value]

I want to fit the dataset and get the best-fit a&b values.Thanks in advance!

Hi FindMe,

Have you looked at the Nonlinear Curve Fitting tutorial? The procedure for creating a fitting function is explained fairly well there.
