Hi,

As previously mentioned in
http://www.originlab.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3343
I have found a problem with linking axes

Consider 2 datasets
A B
0 100 120
1 95 115
2 90 110
4 70 90
8 50 70
16 40 60
32 35 55
64 25 45

Plotting dataset A then adding a lnked X layer with the appropiate button works fine. Rescaling affects both graphs correctly.

Now try adding an axis break (eg between 12 and 13).
Add the linked x axis and the data are misplotted - because there is no axis break for the 2nd layer!

you have to add the x axis break manually.
The problem then is that only the layer.x.from and layer.x.to values are linked (changing these values affects both graphs). If the axis break is altered for layer 1 then this is not altered for layer 2.

So linking does not seem to apply to the axis breaks!

Please can you advise.

Cheers,

Pete
