Hi Stefan:
I am running 7.5E SR5, WinXP, and I have Office 2003 installed. I am able to drag selected data from an Excel workbook (running inside Origin, of course) to the Origin graph window and it plots correctly.
The best thing to do is to save your Excel data internally with the Origin project file (OPJ), and attach the OPJ to an email, along with your serial number and a brief explanation of the problem. Please point to this forum post.
Send to tech@originlab.com.
Thanks!

Hi Mike I think I found the problem. When I use an Excel-File on a local drive, drag&drop will work. When I use the same Excel-File on a network-drive, drag&drop will not work. Is there any idea for an solution?
Thanks!

Hi Stefan,
I tested opening an XLS file from a network drive but still have no problem with drag & drop plotting from that XLS file. So, there is obviously something else that is a factor and we'll have to do some investigating.
If you would, could you please submit a description of your problem here. Be sure to point to this forum post.
Thanks.
