hello! I'm using origin to write my thesis. I have to compare some chromatogram and for this reason I'm using the option peck analyzer. The problem is that the chromatograms pecks are really small and with the scale that I'm using during the picks analysis I cannot see them, how can I change this scale? It is not the same of others graphs where I just press twice on then number's scale.
Automatic peak finding can be difficult when amplitudes vary by several orders.
1. Perhaps you could perform localized searches where peaks are of similar amplitudes.
2. Or, you could try converting your Y-data to log scale. Large peaks and small peaks will be similar in size.
3. Or, you could try converting your Y-data to dy/dx (1st derivative). Peaks will have a classic 1st derivative bell shape- a rise followed by a sharp fall, followed by a rise. The peak is where the sharp fall is equal to zero.
