Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System: windows
First of all i have to mention that this is my first time beeing here or even posting about origin. My question is the following one. I ve been trying to plot some data on a single plot but because of the nature of these it seems that i cant find a solution to my problem. I want to scale only y-axis, not to forget to mention that the data i am faced up with can also have a negative sign. I am trying tp plot on semi-logarithmic b as well as i have read a post about visualizign negative log ( link here -- http://blog.originlab.com/graphing/visualizing-the-negative-log ), but everytime i am tryig to go on log scale my final plot form is messed up. Please, any suggestion will be much appreciated.

Hi,
You may need to plot the -y and +y sections separately and then merge the two plots together. You can make two copy of the original data, and add filter on each, one with y>0 and one with y<0. For the data with y<0, make line plot, and then customize y axis with settings shown below:
For positive y section, just plot normally with log(y) axis scale. Then merge two graphs together to get:
