Hi guys,
I'm doing a columns graph, with two different data sets. because they overlap, i'd like to be able to move one of the two layer(thus, one of the two series of columns), without of course changing the value in the table by which the data are taken. I think it's possible, do you know how to help me?
thank you so much |

Hi,
Make sure the x axis of the two layers are 1 to 1 linked. Then in Plot Details dialog, select Graph on the left panel, activate Layers tab on the right panel, check the check box Column/Bar/Box Gap Across layers.
Thank,

Hi, I have plotted a graph using a data worksheet. to simplify the case, suppose I have plotted y=2*x for x between 0 to 5, thus y between 0 to 10. I would like to extend the graph to x=10, without any change in worksheet data. How can I do it, if possible? Thank you; Amin |

Hi,
If you just want to expand x scale to 10, you can double click on X axis, and set To to 10.5. If you want to change the x axis tick label to say 0,2,...,10, you can switch to Tick Labels tab, set Divided by Factor to 0.5. Hope this answers your questions.

Hi James, Thank you for the answer. the problem is extending the graph, not the axis. I attached a figure. I have drawn the Blue Part, but I want the dashed red part to be extended to x=10, without any change in X and Y data in the worksheet. Hope to be clear, Thank you for your time and kindness Amin

Hi,
Thank you for clarifying. You will need data to plot the extended part on the graph. If you know the function of the curve, it's easier, you just need to go to menu Graph:Add Function Plot... and you can specify the x scale in the dialog. Otherwise you will need to extrapolate y values for x values beyond current range. Please go to menu Analysis:Mathematics:Interpolate/Extrapolate Y from X... for extrapolation. Please also check this tutorial video. Thank you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBrY2UtA2i8
