Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 7.5 SR5
Operating System: Windows XP

I need to compare my data with an standard curve, for example y=cos(x). So I usually add a function graph onto my graph window. Is it possible save this curve in the template? Then every time the standard curve is there if I use this template to plot my curve. I tried it, but failed.
In the origin help file, I found these words:

Attributes saved with a graph template are controlled from various tabs on Plot Details dialog box:
The page tabs of the Plot Details dialog box.
The layer tabs of the Plot Details dialog box.
The data plot tabs of the Plot Details dialog box.
The function, data point, error, and label tabs of the Plot Details dialog box.

It seems possible. But I couldn't figure it out. Is anybody know it?

You can't save data with a template. However, you can save it as an OGG file (File > Save Window As) and reopen it as many times as you like to add/plot new data.
