Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 7.5
Operating System: WINXP

Hello, Origin Lab Gurus,

I was wondering if there is a way to delete a cluster of data points at once. "remove bad data points" is great for individual bad data points, but it is not suitable for group datapoint removal. suppose i have thousands of points from pulse excitation, my interest is only the peak data points gotten from the pulse excitation. at this time i have to do it by hand...and it is very TIME AND ENERGY CONSUMING.

I'd appreciate any pointers or modules that can help me.

thank you.

Hi,

Sounds like it would be easier to extract the points you want with Analysis > Extract Worksheet Data. But there is a data removal tool at OriginLab's File Exhange...
http://www.originlab.com/FileExchange/details.aspx?fid=102

You can also make your own data removal tool.

1. Attach the LabTalk script below to the Custom Routine button as described here...
http://www.originlab.com/www/support/resultstech.aspx?ID=769&language=English

2. Clicking the Custom Routine button will bring up the data selection markers. Press Enter to delete all data between the markers. You can undo the last deletion with Edit > Undo.

# Begin script
dotool 4;
def pointproc {
undo -dr %C mks1 mks2;
mark -d %C mks1 mks2;
dotool 0;
};
