Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): pro 2018 64 bit
Operating System: win 7

One cool thing I learned last year that helped me a lot was how to use a custom menu to trigger labtalk scripts. I have an *.omc file with about 16 items that I used to use under 2016, but which now does not seem to work under 2018.
I am using the custom menu organiser...file...open option. I transferred the omc file from my 2016 user folder. The dialog appears to work, in that it shows the text of my menu items, but then the custom menu does not appear.

The kind of thing that I might guess is some 2016/2018 compatibility issue, or perhaps the labtalk scripts that are called in some items are not accessible?

Hi J,

Have you tried to drag and drop the omc file to Origin and then switch the menu via Format: Menu?

Regards,
Yuki

Great!

I did not realise that there was a switch to activate the menu in format...menu. When I set this up in the past I only remember going to the 'custom menu organiser' dialog.

Thanks!
