Hey!

I am trying to use Vogit profile to fit my spectral data, but the L-M method can not give a good fitting curve. There is a button in the middle panel marked as "S". This button will perform Simplex approximation, and this method can give a better fitting results.

However, when I want to make a template to use Simplex approximation for batch processing, the batch processing results are obtained from the L-M fitting, seems like clicking the "s" button can not be recorded in the template."

Is there anyway to make the voigt fit template with simplex approximation?

Hope someone can give some suggestions! Thanks for your time.

Hi Daisy,

Yes, the operation that clicking Simplex button to initialize parameters won't be saved with analysis template. So, simplex approximation can bot be used during batch processing.

If you think the results from batch processing is not good enough, you can send us the data files, analysis template file(to tech@originlab.com) to let us try the project here. We might need adjust the initialization code to make the fitting good as that with the simplex approximation.

Please also tell us the serial number of your Origin(Help:About Origin) to let us record the problem.

Thanks,
Shirley
