Yes, we had made changes and improvements for LabTALK script since Origin 8.0. You need upgrade your LabTalk script created in Origin 7.0 to fix some compatibility issues in Origin 8.0.
To check and find out the script lines with problem, please refer to the notes in this help page: https://www.originlab.com/doc/LabTalk/Upgrade-LT-Note
And, Origin 8.0 had been released a long time, we won't provide a full support for this version anymore. Would you please consider to upgrade your Origin to a newer version, such as the newly-released Origin 2019b. You can have a free try from here, https://www.originlab.com/demodownload.aspx

Would you please consider to contact your distributor to upgrade your Origin to our newest version "Origin 2019b", which has a much better compatibility on LabTalk script created on different versions?
