Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 2016 64-bit
Operating System:Windows
Hi all!

Would anyone know whether it is possible to plot two data sets next to each other in a 3D bar plot? The two data sets have the same X and Y values though different Z values. As shown in the image at the moment they are overlapping and cannot be clearly seen, whereas I would like to have the bars with the same Y value (two bars for one Y value) next to each other (Ideally would be to have y value not numerical so they are equally spaced out)

Many thanks for your help in advance.

Hi,

Please go to learning center in Origin(press F11). Find the example below under 3D Bar Charts category. It has detailed steps.

Hi James,

Thank you very much for the reply. This is a graph a need! However, my origin version (2016) does not include the learning center (its implemented in 2017 and newer) Could you please provide me with the steps or direct me to an online support (couldnt find on my own) ?

Many thanks in advance.

Best, Adam

Hi,

You can send an email to tech@originlab.com and request an example project. Be sure to reference this forum post and that you are using Origin 2016.

Also include the last seven digits of your serial number.

Thanks,
