Hello experts!

I've spent 2 days trying to export a graph from originLab and no matter what I try the exported version no longer appears to be vectorized and instead, appears to be raster (exporting as .eps or .pdf) when I view it in CorelDraw or a PDF reader. The image below shows this problem (export settings: pdf, 600dpi.

It's driving me nuts and I really would appreciate any kind of help, advice, explanation etc.

The ogg file can be found here:

Thank you for your time.

Hi,

Our 3D OpenGL plots cannot be vectorized no matter what you try. They are always rasterized. It can be very intense to vectorize complex 3D OpenGL plots- it can take a lot of processing power and specialized code. For now, we have chosen not to pursue it in order to focus on other features.

Thanks,

Thanks @Chris D. It's a relief to know that.

I have a follow-up question if you don't mind. As you can see in the image I embedded in my question, the Origin plot is much cleaner than the exported pdf version. It looks the same when I export as eps. I know the images are at two different zoom levels but even when the pdf is at 1600% to match the zoom of the Origin plot, it's still visibly pixelated - even the gray lines in the background.

Is there any way I can maximize the clarity of the exported Origin graph?

Hi,

In the Export Graphs dialog and for PDF export, there is a "Resolution" control under the "Export Settings" group. You can crank the resolution up to 600 or even 1200 and the image will be sharper at the expense of larger file size.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,
