Origin Pro 2019, Windows 7

Hi,
I want to try PCA or k-means clustering (or any classification algorithm) on the following dataset:

20 samples (each sample sits in one column), with 40,000 measurements per sample (each column contains 40,000 rows). I want to classify these 20 samples into three classes.

Could you please advise how to do it in Origin or suggest any equivalent clustering analysis that is possible to do in Origin?
So far, the calculation takes too much time and I did not manage to get to the result yet.

Thanks

Hi,

Both PCA and K-means classify by rows. If you have 40000 columns as input, it’s very slow. K-means is faster than PCA, but it’s still very slow for 40000 columns.

Thanks,
Amanda
