Greetings!

How do I link From and To values of X and Y axes within one layer?

Thank you.

This is not possible. Is there a situation you have to link the axes?

I prepare a lot of so-called data comparison crossplots that require the axes to be of the same length and the same limits.
For example:

I guess you mean isometric axes.

Open Plot Details dialog.
Select Layer on the left.
On Size tab, check Link Axis Length to Scale with X:Y Ratio.

For multi-layer graph with same scale, u can first go to Plot Details. Select Graph on the left.
On Layers tab, check Common Display for Axis.
Then check the Link Axis Length to Scale in one layer.

It will apply to all layers.

Thanks, Snow

I need both isometric axes and the same settings (From, To, tick settings).
Link Axis Length to Scale with X:Y Ratio makes axes isometric.
It would be nice to have a way to make axes keep the same settings (From, To, tick settings, etc.).

I jiraed this in ORG-22921 and emailed our developers to check if we can implement this.

Thanks, Snow

Hi Andrey,
[Updated]
Good news.
Origin 2024 includes link and share axis scale and style controls on Show tab of axis dialog to make it easier to customize consistent XY axes in multi-layer graphs

Make sure Axis Scale and Axis Style checkboxes are checked on Layers tab of page level in Plot Details dialog.

Then double click axis on 1st layer to open Axis dialog. Go to Show tab.
* Check Link Axis Length to Scale with X:Y Ratio to make isometric axis.
* Check Share All Axis Style for Axes

Now go to scales, etc. tab to customize axis.

Limitations:
Axis style do not include all style, only include limited options that user will mostly want to share:
tick label font branch,
title font branch,
Grid style(without show, without additional line)
Line and Tick settings(without show, without color)

Share same XY scale doesn't work well. To have same X and Y scale, still need to go to Scale tab. Select both Horizontal and Vertical on the left and set the same From and To.

Thanks, Snow
