Hi everyone,
I would like to fit a curve with 4 Gausses. The width of Gauss1 and Gauss 2 should be the same, while those of Gauss3 and Gauss4 are independent.
How can I set up the constrain that three width values w1 w3 and w4 are to be fitted and w1=w2.
Under constraints option I got syntax error message.
Thank you in advance

If you use Nonlinear Curve Fit tool, you can set the linear constraint as show blow. Make sure check the box to enable the constraints.

Thank you very much for your reply. The error was that I wrote "w_2" instead of "w__2". Now the fitting works as I would like to :-)
