Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 2018b Operating System: Windows 10
Hello,
I have over 1000 txt files I need to import. All those files have only one header line and one line of data, and I would like to import them so that every line of data is in a new row.
The problem is that not all headers are the same: there are around 10 possible headers, but not all files have all of them.
I tried to import them normally using impAsc Options.Mode:=2, but the data wasn't found in the right columns; I presume it is because importing may be label-insensitive.
I thought about importing to different worksheets and then merging by label (I have needed to do this for other samples, so I would have the code ready) but, being over 1000 files, I believe Origin (or my computer) will die in the process.
First, I would like to ask whether there was another way to do it.
Secondly, if importing to new worksheets and merging was the only way to go, is there any way to import by, say, sets of 10 files, merge, import the next 10 and so on, to avoid CPU usage issues?
Thank you. |
