Hello,

I want to know

1. how to paste a list of complex numbers in a column of Origin, and 2. how to make a plot between X and the column containing the complex numbers as Y.

Hello,

Here is how to set a column as complex.
Double click a column header to open Column Properties dialog
Set Format: Numeric.
Data Type: Complex

Complex number will have real+imagary part. So u can type e.g. 2+3i, -2-3i or past such data in the column.

I am not sure what kind of plot u want to get and what's in column X and Y. Is X only the real part while Y only the imaginary part and u want to plot in complex plane?
If so, u don't need to set column as complex. Just put real part in X column and imaginary part in Y column. so they are just numbers and then plot them as sactter plot and set X and Y axis to show at y=0 and x=0.

Thanks, Snow
