Hi,

I'm currently opening two column files in Origin and since I like
to plot them all to the same diagram I usually use the Import Wizard,
click all my .txt or .xy files and then set the import to open new
columns rather than new sheets.

That way everything in on one page and all I have to do is to plot them.
My problem is though, that for each file the first column is a
function of x while the second one is a function of y. So they come in pairs but Origin will automatically import only the very first column as x and all the others as y.

I then have to manually select every second column and change it's properties. Is there a way to automate this, that every other column that is generated from an import is automatically set to x rather than y?

Thank you for all suggestions and Best Regards,
Martin

You can set worksheet columns to be XYXY after import.
