Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): v7.5853
Operating System:Windows 7

Hi,
I'm using a self defined fitting functions for a harmonic fit of a temperature series. In the last year it works very fine. Now I got the following error message:
Error! Your fitting function is not generating values.
Check that your data set has values.
If you have a User-defined function:
1) Check your expression for syntax errors
2) Make sure that you are using the Y-Script or Equation form

I have changed nothing.

Any idea why it doesn't work any more?

TIA

Peter

Do you mind sharing your project and the user-defined fitting function.

Could you check your XY data and make sure there are values (numeric).
Also open your user-defined fitting function via Tools: Fitting Function Builder.
On 1st page, check what function type did u use, expression, Y-Script or Equation form. Check the hint of what syntax should be used to define function body and parameter.

On the page with function body, enter some x value and click the running man to make quick check to make sure the function is defined correctly.

Thanks, Snow
