Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 2022
Operating System: W10PRO

Hi,

I need to average multiple curves for datasets. Average should be calculated for each process (4 columns: 2*X and 2 *Y) organized as as below. Datasets identifier is given in Comment.

Average settings should be as below:

The number of points (21 on above screen) is the number of rows filled with number. It may be set to Auto. I have tried with analysisi template and batch processing but it produced average for each XY instead of average for 2 processes. Maybe I prepare wrongly analysis template.

Is it possible to automate it somehow?

Kind regards,
Dominik

So your analysis template has four columns (2 passes) in the input worksheet, right? Then when you do batch processing, in the dialog, please set Data Source to Use Existing Ranges. And set all columns from your original data sheet as Batch Range. This way every four columns from will be fed into the template and do the calculation. See if it works.

You want Number of Points to be automatically set as the counts of values of every 2 passes?

James

Hi James,

I have worksheet wAppend with data collected from other worksheets. In wAppend 2 replications of each process are placed in following columns. Thus, for particular process 4 columns should be taken into consideration. For batch processing - single range equals to 4 col, batch range equals to 40 col (10 processes). I need to average these data to get one data set per process.

It doesn't work but probably due to wrongly prepared analysis template (AT). I prepared it as follow: in rawdata sheet placed 4 columns (single process) with data. Next average it in the Averageresults1. Such workbook was saved as AT.
When I run batch with parameters as follow:

I got this:

No, it is minimal number of rows in 1st OR 2nd pass. We may leave it now and set Common range with Auto for each setting.

UPDATE

I create the new AT and change Batch settings and now it works perfectly.

Change in AT:
1. Data in source sheet are copy-pasted, not imported or appended.
2. Third sheet was created in which data from Averageresults1 was pasted as link.

Change in Batch processing:
1. Leave Fixed range as optional
2. Change Batch Range to all columns of source sheet.

Kind regards,
Dominik
