Hi there,

I am drawing a dendrogram with a heatmap. In my dataset, I have two different subjects in X-axes which contained different units and there is a big distance between values in these columns. I would like to ask how can we add separated color scales for each subject?

Thank you

anh

Hi,

You can add two color scale and customize the color list as needed.

1. Double click on the current color scale to open the Color Scale Control dialog.
2. Select Fill on the left panel and set Map to None. This allows you to customize the color list freely.
3. Select a palette from the Fill drop-down. To further edit the palette (delete some color or rearrange order), hold down Ctrl key and click on the palette. This will open the palette in the Build Colors dialog, which allows you to edit it.

4. After done the first color scale, click the Add Color Scale button to add another color scale. Repeat steps 1 – 3 to edit it.

Thanks,
Amanda

Thank you very much for your reply.

Following your instruction, I can make two different color scales in plot. However, I could not connect them with the main datasets. Could you please let me know? Thanks in advance.

Yes, this is a “fake” color scale. You will need to update it manually if you change your colormap. We cannot split the color scale of one plot right now.

Thanks,
