OriginPro 2022b (64-bit) SR1 9.9.5.167
Windows 7 Pro SP1 x64

Greetings!

I have X-axis displaying the date-time stamps:

Is there a way to get the following result by configuring the axis?

Thank you.

I don't see a pattern in your graph.
E.g. u show 15:25 and 21:25 between the 1st two long tick labels, while only show 09:25 between the last two long tick labels.

If u want date only shows for each day, maybe u can set major ticks to increment by 1 day.
Then set minor ticks and customize minor tick to only show time info. e.g.
On Scale tab, i set major tick: By Increment: 1 day, and minor tick: By Counts: 3 (so minor tick shows every 6 hours).
Then on Tick Labels tab,
on Display subtab, set the Display to both date and time
On Minor Tick Labels subtab, set as follows.

Thanks, Snow

Dear Snow,

I use automatic increments for both major and minor ticks.
I was thinking about showing date at the 1st tick corresponding to this date, while showing time at each and every tick.

Hi Andrey,
Currently Origin do not support such date display in tick label. I created ORG-25845 to improve it in next version.

Thanks
Cecilia

Hi Andrey,
We released 2023b beta1 today with this improvements included
https://my.originlab.com/beta/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=13682

A checkbox "Show Date for 1st Tick for the Date" is added on Tick Label ? Display tab in axis dialog.
If the increment is by hour(s), there will be multiple major ticks on same date. Tick label will only show on 1st major tick.

Thanks, Snow
