Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginPro 2022b (64-bit) SR1 9.9.5.171 (Academic) Operating System: Windows 11
Origin becomes unclear/blurry when I move the window from my laptop to a second screen. Is there something to do about this?
This only happens to Origin, I do not have this problem with other applications. |

Are you moving Orign to a secondary screen with 4k monitor? What's the resolution.
Do you mean toolbars icons unclear? We will support high resolution toolbar button in coming Origin 2023.
Thanks, Snow |

Hi Snow,
Both screens have a resolution of 1920 x 1080. However, the secondary screen sets its' scale to 100%, whereas the laptop screen is set to 125%. If I move the window of Origin from my laptop screen to the secondary screen, I see the re-scaling happening and making the version of Origin at scale 100% become blurry/unclear.
However, setting the Windows settings to 125% on the secondary screen is not what I want for other applications, so I assume I have to deal with it for now.
Hopefully Origin 2023 will resolve some things |

Hi Felix,
Thanks for the details. I can see it now. I jiraed it in ORG-25858 for developers to take a look what we can do. But we are very close to 2023 release (early Nov.) so I am not sure if it will be fixed in it yet.
Thanks, Snow |

Hello,
Our developer replied. This is normal behavior when you tell the OS to scale things. User can disable scaling for an app by right-clicking on the exe and choosing Properties. On Compatibility tab turn on Override high DPI scaling behavior and set to Application.
Then restart Origin. The issue will be gone.

Thanks, Snow |
