Hi, sorry i'm new in using Origin. I have a problem. I've plotted a FTIR spectrum, with wavenumber on the X and with Absorbance values on the Y axes. However, i've just discovered that i need a graph with transmittance on the Y. Is it possible to change it?

Thank you very much!!!

Do u want to add transmittance column in same graph? U can drag transmittance column to same graph.
https://www.originlab.com/doc/Quick-Help/Add-Data-to-Layer

Or do u mean you want to replace Absorbance plot with transmittance. If both data are in same worksheet, you can right click the absorbance plot, and choose Change Y: to change it.
Or u can right click 1 icon on upper-left corner of graph and choose Layer Contents to add/remove plots.

If i misunderstood, please clarify.

Thanks, Snow

The problem is that in my worksheet I have absorbance data only. So, I wondered if it was possible to obtain transmittance datas from the absorbance ones and plot them.

Thank you!

You can use F(x) cell to do column calculation.
E.g. add column C and enter B*2

Or if there is no data connector, directly enter formula in F(x) on absorbance column to do the calculation.

https://www.originlab.com/doc/en/Origin-Help/Wks-SetColVal-QuickStart#Two_Quick_Examples

Or you can highlight on new column, Ctrl+Q to open Set column values dialog to find what functions to use under Function menu, etc.

Thanks, Snow
