Hello all,
I am new here and also new in using OrigionPro. Version 2022b. In the past I have already tried a little with OriginPro, but now I want to use it seriously and I really like it.
I have now faced a problem that I can't solve. Maybe it is due to less experience and it is very easy to solve. I am also writing this post a second time so that I can possibly add a photo. I hope it works
My problem is as follows. In a XYY colour plot I want to add error bars. As you can see here, the error bars do not point in the right direction. I have inserted them using the layer contents. If the error bars are small compared to the data point, their ends turn in the wrong direction. How can I fix this? Is it possible to fix the ends? I would also like the error bars to be in the background and only visible when they extend beyond the point. This only works if the error bar is quite large and extends far beyond the point?
Any ideas on this?
I would be very happy to get some answers!
Thank you very much, Lisa

Okay, i realised something
I'm using the german version of Origin Pro, i mean the german words are there. So, hopefully i translate the things correctly.
I think my fault was that i thought that "through symbol" ("Durch Symbol") means, that the error bars are behind my data points. That the error bars do not go through the symbol. By turning this option on, the errors bars are showing in the right directions.
But now is the quesion: How can i put them behind my dataset points? |

Hello,
U can watch this video to understand better the plot order. https://www.originlab.com/doc/Quick-Help/Change-Order-of-Plots
Unfortunately error bar don't show in Object manager so u can not drag to move it. But u can double click layer icon on upper-left corner of graph window, e.g. 1 if it's your only layer. Or u can right click on 1 and choose Layer Contents.
Right side of the dialog shows what's in the layer with plot order. U can drag the error bar so that it's above the plot.
Let me know if it works.
Thanks, Snow |

Hi Lisa, I just wonder if you put error bar behind your data points, the error bar that smaller than symbol size will not display in graph, see following picture: Do you mean this is what you want?
Thanks Cecilia |
