Dear Origin Community,
Dear moderator,
I have a pretty weird problem with my Origin Pro software (OriginPro 2022, 64-bit, SR1 Version: 9.9.0.225): everything seems to work as it would be expected... apart from some Minitools (among others, the important integration tool). In that particular case, I get only the integration region (ROI), without interactive Area- and FWHM-Values and without the characteristic open dialog (the “play” key). The “close” key is namely there, but without action: it’s not possible to close the window.
I get also a "VC Member function call execution error" message as cryptic explication (in German, it sounds either more poetic: "Ausführungsfehler beim Aufruf der VC-Member funktion"...
I got some info and support from our Admin: we installed the software anew, as well as the newest Visual C++ libraries, checked the settings and the (windows) registry. The same problem(s) occurred again. Interestingly the Admin can log on my workstation with his account and can use ALL the minitools, without any problems, whereas I, using my account on the very same workstation cannot use them... weird...
The Admim means that this reluctance to work properly might be correlated to my windows 10 profile and that some software I've installed in former time badly interact with some Origin Pro libraries/configurations/whatsoever...
Can you please shed some light onto this peculiar behavior/situation and help to find a solution?
Thanks in advance & best regards from Germany
Tom

It sounded like something wrong with your folders then.

E.g.
Maybe u can delete User Files Folder, Delete OCTemp, etc. all these are under your login account. Try this FAQ
https://www.originlab.com/doc/Quick-Help/System-Folder-Build-Failed

Check if it fixes the issue.

Thanks, Snow

Wow! that's Service!
it worked as described in the FAQ; as simple as that.
The Admin is delighted, so am I ;-)
Many thanks for the quick feedback and support!
best regards from Germany
