Hello, I am using LabTalk to fit my data and adjust the slope. I attempted the following script to approach a slope of approximately 0:

double XX = 0;
col(h) = col(g) * XX;
fitLR(1, 9) N := 10;
double slope = fitLR.b;

loop(ff, 1, 100){
if(slope > 0){
XX += 5E-6;
col(h) = col(g) * XX;
fitLR(1, 9) N := 10;
slope = fitLR.b;
}
}
However, despite observing clear changes in the plotted slope, the slope value from the fit inside the loop remains the same for all iterations.

The issue I'm facing is that the adjustment of the slope does not stop at the desired point.ystem

Do the values in Col(1) and Col(9) get updated in the loop? Otherwise I don't expect the fitted slope to change.
