Hey hi, first, open Origin 2018 and navigate to the analysis menu. From there select fitting and then choose nonlinear curve fit. In the dialog box that appears, opt for user defined from the fit model dropdown menu.
Next, copy the fit function code from Origin 8 and paste it into the editor provided in Origin 2018. Make sure to check if any dependencies or libraries required by your custom function are also available in Origin 2018.
Once you've pasted the code and check all necessary dependencies are available, you should be able to use your user defined fit function seamlessly within Origin 2018 for curve fitting analysis.
