Operating System: Windows 11

Hello,

I am having an issue with directly editing formulas in the formula cell of a column. I have defined range variables in the Set Column Values dialog (ex. range r1 = [Book4BAAA]Sheet1!Col(AF);). When I enter a formula using the Set Column Values dialog (ex. r1+r2), it works fine. However, if I directly edit the formula in the cell or in the formula bar, the variables are automatically capitalized (ex. R1+R2), which causes an error since R1 and r1 are different variables. How do I stop this automatic capitalization?

Hello madfo,

If you have your workbook active and press Alt + Enter to open Window Properties, you can turn off Spreadsheet Cell Notation via the top check box.

Does this affect the auto-capitalization?

Best,
Nicholas
