Is there any way of manually adding the option "Asymmetric Least Square Smoothing" for baseline mode treatment in the Peak Analyzer wizard if that option doesn't show/is not available?
Thanks! |

You may need to upgrade to the Pro version of Origin to access this option. Thank you.

Thanks for your reply. I do have OriginPro 2025.
The issue is that we work with Horiba's Fluoressence (which is based on Origin 8.6) to do spectral data collection and analysis on the fly. That version's peak analyzer wizard does not have the "Asymmetric Least Square Smoothing" option, which is important for us. Thus, at this point, I have to collect spectra using Fluoressence, copy them into OriginPro 2025 and analyze them. Extremely cumbersome.
Thus, my question: is there a version of the PA for Origin 8.6 with the ALS option?
Thanks again. |

Version 8.5 is a very old version! There were several improvements done to PA (and MANY new features related to spectroscopy data in Origin in general) since then, and there is no way to make the new features work on that old version.
You may want to contact Horiba and ask them if they plan to upgrade the version that they include with the instrument. It is a customized version of OriginPro that they ship, so they need to decide when they are ready for upgrading.
