Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
OriginPro 2025b (64-bit)

Operating System: W11 Pro

Hi,
I was requested to change the notation of the numbers in the following form:
10,000.0 for numbers with 5 or more digits, and 1000.0 for numbers with 4 or less digits. Is it possible in Origin? How to set up the axis label to present numbers in such a sophisticated way?

Kind regards,
Dominik

You can double click the axis and go to Breaks tab to set a break at 10000 to 10000.

Then click Details to set tick labels after axis to be different from main axis (the part before break)

Thanks, Snow

Great workaround! Unfortunately, this solution will produce two lines on the axis (break symbol), which, I assume, will generate further questions from the publisher. I will leave it as is. Thank you anyway.

Kind regards,
Dominik

Sorry that I forgot to mention, on the 1st image, u can set Break Half Length to 0 so the break shape doesn't show.

Thanks, Snow
