Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): Origin 2025 (64-bit) SR1
Operating System: Win 11

I am having trouble when I export a large graph: No matter what DPI setting I choose, the quality of the exported image (jpg, tiff, ...) looks the same - with low resolution, and blocky text. I know it is possible to get a higher resolution version, because I was somehow able to do it in 2015 with an older version of the same graph.

Am I missing something obvious?

Hello,

How large is your graph and what DPI settings are you using?
Are you using the Export Graph or Export Graphs (Advanced) dialog?

Are you exporting a 2D or 3D graph? Is Anti-Aliasing turned on?

Do you have some examples that show the blocky text issue?

Best,
Chao

Chao,
The graph is 40inches by 20 inches, and I have tried multiple dpi settings (150, 300, 600, ...). When this worked previously, I used 150dpi.
It is a 3D graph, with a matrix plot as well. Anti aliasing is on (in fact, I cannot turn it off). The text and lines all look very clean on the graph in Origin itself - it is only when the graph gets exported that the resolution gets worse. I've upload a screen capture of a small part of the exported image.
I've tried both the Export Graph and the (Advanced) version - getting the same result.

Thank you,
Lowell

Hello Lowell,

Thank you for the information.
3D graphs are a bit different in that they use the OpenGL to render the graphics. This means that it is largely dependent on your graphics card and drivers.
See: https://www.originlab.com/doc/Quick-Help/3D-Graph-Tick-Label-Anti-Aliansing

I also recommend you give the SVG file type a try.

Best,
Chao

Chao,
The OpenGL settings did not change anything. However, exporting as an SVG did work, and I was then able to convert that to a pdf file.
Thank you for the suggestion.
Lowell
