OriginPro 2026b (64-bit) 10.3.5.222
Windows 10 Pro for Workstations 10.0.19045.7725

Greetings!

How do I fix following naming issue?

[10/9/2026 14:55:44 wAppend]
wAppend:X-Function failed to execute!
Failed to resolve range string, VarName = irng, VarValue = [XRF2B3BElem](3B(10,10,10),3B(30,30,30))

Thank you.

Hello Andrey,

The issue is that the X-function cannot differentiate between the comma in your sheet name and the comma separator for the sheets.

You can either:

1. Add single quotes to your sheet names.
I.e. '3B(10,10,10)' and '3B(30,30,30)'

2. In the wAppend dialog, click the 'triangle button' on the top-right and select "Generate Script". Then add the double quotes to the X-function command and run it.
E.g. wAppend -r 2 irng:=[Book1]("3B(10,10,10)","3B(30,30,30)");

I have reported this edge case to the developers in ORG-34466.

Best,
Chao

Dear Chao,

Well noted.
