I have data for absorbance peak of IR-measurement I have 2 scale... x for wavelength and y for absorbance now my problem is I have one absorbance peak which consist of two gaussian curve... and I can't fit it... I have tried so many times.. and I have tried to use fit gaussian, fit multiple peaks, and advanced fitting tools.. But I still can't solve it... can anybody help me to solve my problem? I need your help.... please... thx for answering my problem... I use origin edition Origin 7...
Perhaps your data does not really contain two gaussian peaks? If it does, there is a project called Multiple Peak Fit.opj in your Samples\Analysis\Curve Fitting\ subfolder that provides instructions for fitting with Analysis > Fit Multi-Peaks > Lorentzian. (Method is the same for Gaussian.) You can also look at the Origin Tutorial on Nonlinear curve fitting (Help > Tutorials).
hi... I have problem again... I have the other data and I use the same way as I fit the curve before which is succesful.... but why the fitting curve become so strange... not a smooth curve... so rough.... or it is because my data have problem.. so that I can't fit it well? thxx....a lot...
Your fit curve probably has much fewer points than your data curve or your data curve itself only has a few points. If you are using the Advanced Fitter select After Fit on the Fitter's Settings menu and adjust the number of points in the Generate Fit Curve section. If you are fitting from the menu I don't think you can do anything about it because the fit curve is drawn with the same number of points as the data curve.
