I have three independent variables i.e a spatial point and the value of pressure i.e my dependent variable. Now for all these discrete points (i have 1200 points) i want to express my dependent variable in the form of a function. Please keep in mind that iam a novice and have not used hi end softwares like mathematica and maple, is it possible to do this in excel?

Please comment?

Hi Faisal:

I am not sure whether you can do that in Excel, however, you can fit your data by defining multiple independents fitting functions in Origin. Please reference to the chapter of

Analysis: Curve Fitting > Fitting With Multiple Independent Variables

of Origin Help files for more information.
