i am in the middle of writing my own report script and things that previously have worked suddenly stop working, such as the position of the legend. i used labtalk to get it into the right position and it worked but today i ran it and it was back at the original position, with no changes to that section of code. i can't see anything wrong.

i am also using a script that a colleague wrote that takes a dataset and creates several graphs and a report, and suddenly, with absolutely NO changes to the code the script stops half way through, or doesn't put data where it should be put according to the script.

has anyone come across oddities like this before? or is it just a quirk of origin and labtalk that i'll have to get used to?

Hi psgst,

Did you try debugging the code? There is no reason for a command to suddenly stop working, unless there has been some change in the environment such as what window is active, whether hard coded window names were used in script and those windows don't exist any more etc.

Without looking at your code, there is no way to tell what is going on. If script sections are small, you could try posting on LabTalk forum stating your problem very specifically. Otherwise please contact your local tech support office and send them your Origin Project, script file etc.
