Hi everybody!
Q: How can be calculated the phase difference between two EMG series in Origin 7.5?

Details:
1.for those who are not familiar with the term EMG = electromyography and it is a very complex electrical signal of the muscle recorded from with surface or needle electrodes

2.in the begining I was thinking thet the phase difference is the simple arithmetic difference between the phases of the FFT of the 2 signals; then I discovered that is is defined as "the complex part of the cross-spectra of the 2 EMG signals". How can this be done in Origin? Shoud I perform FFT on each signal and then calculate somehow the cross-spectra or is there a direct step to be applied on the raw signal?

I would appreciate any help with this problem or even only auto- & cross-spectra computing in Origin.

I don't know the best answer to your question but the EMG Toolbar Origin addon might be useful...

Thanks for the link. It's a very nice tool, but it still does not answer my problem with calculating & plotting the phase difference between two bio-electrical signals.

Perhaps not, but the author is probably the best person to ask about the problem. You can contact him from either of the links.
