Dear all,

Is there a way to fit two datasets to two different functions with shared parameters using the nlsf?

My functions are:

phi_real = (f_0^2-f^2)/ sqrt( (f_0^2-f^2)^2 + (f*f_0/Q)^2 )
phi_imag = -f*f_0 /Q / sqrt( (f_0^2-f^2)^2 + (f*f_0/Q)^2 )

where f is the same array for both of the datasets and phi_real and phi_imag are the dependent variables. f_0 and Q are the shared parameters. I can fit my data to each of these functions using NLSF independently but can I run NLSF simultaneously for both, such that I get one f_0 and one Q which are the best minimizations for both of the functions ?

You can define a function with phi_real, phi_image as Dependent Var and f, f_0,Q as Independent Var.

Then to do the fitting, select Action: Dataset to set the datasets for phi_real and phi_image properly.
