Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 7SP2
Operating System: XP

Is there some workaroud to make the upper and lower lines of an area graph invisible: either by changing color or setting thickness to zero. It seems the upper and lower line are dependently set and cannot be made disappear, everthing I tried so far was unsuccesful.
Would appreciate any idea.

I seem to be able to make lines disappear, either by making the lines zero thickness, or by making them "white".

I simply right click on one of the layer icons in upper left of the graph page, go to Layer Properties, then left click on plus symbol of the layer of your area plot, then click on the area plot itself. That gives me a window for which I can click on "line" or "Pattern". Click on the "line". Then, on the Width text line, put in 0 (you have to type 0, because the index doesn't list it). Then click on OK. You ought to have what you want.

Or you can select the color: make it white.

But, you must have tried all that. If so, then I don't know what the solution is for you.

Richard.

Chosing a line thickness of zero point makes the whole area disappear. And chosing the color "white", the graph at first looks good, but taking a closer look, the line hast not the color you chose (and depending on the color of the area, it sometimes looks bad).
However by trial and error I found out that changing the color of the line to the value which is the previous item in the color dropdown list compared to the area color (e.g. area: blue => line: green), the graph looks OK. I don`t understand it, but it`s all fine that way :)

I find that if I have multiple lines on an Area plot or a Line plot (with Fill Area Under Curve checked) then several of the lines plot as black whatever settings I use.

If I group the data series and choose the same color theme for lines and area color, then some of the series look as I would expect (the upper and side lines are invisible; there are no "lower lines" anyway), but some of the lines appear in black.

I have tried setting line width zero but this has no effect (setting No Line makes the whole plot disappear). I tried setting Line color to the previous or next Area color, but then the areas have the wrong color border at the sides, and some of the lines are still black.

I have raised this in separate thread as it looks like a bug.
