Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): Student 7.5
Operating System: XP

Just tried to open an Origin File that I have been using extensively in the last two weeks (saved after each use) however it now says that the file is damaged and to contact technical support. There is a script that says File format error, Err: 257. Any idea whether this is fixable and how to prevent it in the future?

I happened to have two .opj files that could not be opened by Origin 7.5. Then I tried to use origin viewer. Luckily, the files were opened. However, I don't know why this situation can happen.

The link of origin viewer is
