I want to select a spectra and drag the spectra vertically within the plot window. My purpose for this is that I have multiple overlapping spectra and the absolute Y axis values are not important, the qualitative difference between spectra is important. I cannot show that qualitative difference when the spectra overlap unless I assign a layer to each spectra, with different axis coordinates per layer, or i manually create a new column for each data set, with an y axis offset such as adding 50 to each y axis value in a data column.
Is there a way of just clicking a spectra within a layer and dragging it vertically so that the program automatically changes the y axis limits for that layer? I understand that maybe I will have to create multiple layers, but dragging a spectra is so much simplier than repeatedly changing axis limits in a text box or inventing new columns that i may or may not remember as not real data

You can not drag curves on the graph directly, however, I think you can use the Simple Math Tool instead. Active the graph page and select Analysis: Simple Math... from menu. Then you can subtract or add a constant to a curve. (Note that source dataset will be changed)
