function to define datatype of a column?

Hello,
can anyone help me with an origin c function to predefine the datatype for a column? I want to define time and date and can't find a suitable one in the reference...

Thank you for your quick reply, i just found those by accident, too... i searched for "datatype" and didn't think of "format"....
